We’ve opened the new logistics center “Minijos 181” in Klaipėda

We have completed the construction of the new office and logistics center, with a total investment of 8 million euros.

The decision to invest in the construction of a new logistics center (Stock-office) stemmed from KTG’s ambitious plans to expand its operations and provide added value to clients at the Port of Klaipėda.

“The logistics center “Minijos 181” has become the main headquarters for Klaipėda Terminal Group companies, housing the administrative offices of the group. I believe that consolidating our administrative teams in one space will make company operations more efficient and help achieve ambitious goals,” said our CEO, Ramunė Venslauskienė.

The administrative offices of Klaipėda Container Terminal, Malkų Įlankos Terminal, JSC „Tarptautines logistikos centras“, Seia, and part of KTG are now located “Minijos 181”. The office space features over 50 ergonomic workstations, relaxation and leisure areas. To create a harmonious balance between the center’s exterior and its practical functionality, every element of the project was carefully planned by the design team. Significant attention was paid to material selection and ergonomics.

According to project architect Laurynas Avyžius, this project is unique in the construction sector, as the entire office structure is made of wood – the first and only building of its kind in Lithuania. The construction used eco-friendly materials, such as 30 tons of recycled concrete and approximately 600 cubic meters of certified wood, which reduces environmental impact and promotes sustainable building practices.

“Energy-saving technologies, such as solar panels, efficient insulation, natural lighting systems, and 1,200 square meters of windows, were integrated into the project. All these solutions were thoughtfully designed to create a building that is environmentally friendly and worker-friendly, meeting modern standards while contributing to environmental protection,” noted L. Avyžius.

The logistics center is a 7,800-square-meter two-story building with storage and administrative facilities. The storage area covers 5,000 square meters, while the office space occupies 2,800 square meters. The surroundings were also improved, with landscaping, parking areas, electric vehicle charging stations, and upgrades to the area beyond the property, including street lighting.

“The storage facilities are part of our expansion plans, enabling us to better meet the needs of both current and potential clients, and to increase service accessibility from a single source – from cargo packaging, labeling, and storage to 3PL solutions,” said our director.
