
The cargo terminals managed by KTG demonstrated impressive growth in 2024, handling a total of 8.6 million tonnes of cargo – 1 million tonnes more than in 2023. This steady expansion has further strengthened our position in the Port of Klaipėda.
The Group’s terminals also serviced 1465 cargo ships, accounting for 26% of all cargo vessels arriving at the port, which handled a total of 5478 ships last year.
A standout performer was Klaipėda Container Terminal, reinforcing its leadership in Ro-Ro cargo within the Baltic region with a remarkable 49% increase, reaching 1.158 million tonnes.
Meanwhile, Malkų Įlankos Terminal achieved record-breaking results, handling over 1.7 million tonnes of cargo – the highest annual volume in its history. It also set a new record for vessel traffic, servicing 311 ships in 2024.
General key facts about loading performance in 2024:
-The Port of Klaipėda handled 35.5 million tonnes of cargo, with KTG Group terminals responsible for 24% of the total – 1% increase from 2023.
-Container throughput at KTG terminals accounted for 47% of the port’s total.
-The Group successfully executed its investment plan, allocating €28 million to infrastructure and advanced cargo handling equipment.
