Loading performance in 2024

The cargo terminals operated by KTG handled a total of 8.6 million tonnes of cargo in 2024 – 1 million tonnes more than in 2023. The Group’s terminals also served 1,465 cargo ships.

Ro-Ro cargo handling at the Klaipėda Container Terminal totalled 1,158 million tonnes, whilst the Malkų Bay Terminal handled more than 1.7 million tonnes of cargo. A new record for vessel calls was set – 311 vessels called at the terminal in 2024.

Key cargo handling figures for 2024:

Containers handled at KTG terminals accounted for 47 per cent of the port’s total container throughput.

The Group successfully implemented its investment plan, allocating 28 million euros to infrastructure and modern cargo handling equipment.
