The first five months of operations have been marked by outstanding achievements

The Klaipėda Container Terminal achieved an all-time record for monthly container handling – 43,967 TEU – whilst the Malkų Bay Terminal set a new overall terminal handling record in May, reaching 180,000 tonnes.

Handling results for KT Group terminals over the first five months of 2023:

– A total of nearly 3 million tonnes of various cargoes were handled;

– Exceptional growth was achieved in container handling, which increased by 18 per cent to 200,000 TEU;

– Ro-Ro cargo volumes rose by 10 per cent to 298,000 tonnes, compared with 270,000 tonnes handled during the same period in 2022;

– A total of 606 vessels were served.

The operational objectives of the terminals managed by the KT Group are to maintain a high standard of cargo handling, to operate efficiently and to serve the interests of customers.
