First 5 months of cargo handling set records

Klaipėda Container Terminal reaches all-time record for container throughput in a single month – 43967 TEU, while Malkų Įlankos Terminal in May was marked by an overall terminal cargo handling record of 180 000 tons.

General key facts about the Group’s terminals loading performance in 5 months of 2023:

– Overall, almost 3 million tons of various cargoes were handled;

– Outstanding growth was reached in container cargo volumes which was increased by 18% to 200 000 TEU;

– Ro-Ro cargo increased by 10% to 298 000 tons (vs 270 000 tons compared to the same period in 2022);

– In total, 606 ships were handled.

The Group’s terminals’ operational objectives are to maintain a high level of cargo handling, to work efficiently and in the interests of #customers. This is why operational processes are continuously improved, investments are made in infrastructure development and equipment acquisitions.
