Despite a challenging geopolitical and economic environment and a decline in certain cargo volumes, the Group maintained strong operational performance and continued to invest in long-term competitiveness.<\/p>\n
Over the course of the year, 8.46 million metric tons of cargo were handled at the Klaip\u0117da Container Terminal and the Malk\u0173 \u012elankos Terminal – just 2.5 percent less than in 2024. At the same time, the RO-RO cargo segment grew by as much as 13 percent, confirming the terminals\u2019 ability to adapt to changing market needs and capitalize on new business opportunities.<\/p>\n
The Group\u2019s consolidated revenue in 2025 amounted to 62 million euros, while consolidated net profit reached 8.5 million euros. The financial results were most significantly impacted by lower container and general cargo volumes, increased administrative expenses, and higher income tax expenses. Nevertheless, the Group remained profitable, maintained a strong financial foundation, and decided to allocate its retained earnings toward further business expansion and investments.<\/p>\n
2025 was a year of active investment. The Group modernized its terminal infrastructure, acquired new environmentally friendly handling equipment, expanded its storage capacity, and invested in filtration systems and other solutions designed to improve operational efficiency. The updated fleet of equipment promises higher productivity, lower operating costs, and faster cargo handling in the future.<\/p>\n
A sustainability strategy is also being consistently implemented. The terminals use only certified electricity generated from renewable energy sources, and the solar power plants installed on the terminals\u2019 roofs have already generated 655 MWh of electricity and helped reduce CO\u2082 emissions by 328 metric tons. Currently, as much as 37 percent of the Group\u2019s total electricity consumption is generated in-house.<\/p>\n
In 2025, intensive preparations were also underway for mandatory sustainability reporting – setting clear long-term goals in the areas of environmental protection, social responsibility, and governance. Focus was placed on strengthening employee competencies, digitizing processes, ensuring workplace safety, and strengthening the organization\u2019s culture.<\/p>\n
Looking ahead to 2026, the KT Group plans to continue investing in the acquisition of material-handling equipment, the expansion of warehouse space, operational automation, and increased productivity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
