Investments to Improving Service Quality

Due to increasing cargo volumes (+16% as compared to 2016) Klaipėdos konteinerių terminalas, UAB, belonging to Klaipėdos terminalo grupė (KTG), is carrying out the renovation of handling equipment.

5 new Terberg trucks were bought for ro-ro and general cargo terminal, 2 RTG cranes were ordered for container terminal. After Seaport Authority performed quay reconstruction and deepening of Malkų įlanka, the plans to purchase new STS crane for servicing container ships were made.

Apart from investments to machinery, reserve area in ro-ro and general cargo terminal will be set up. It should be used for cargo storage. New site yard will be prepared for operation at the end of QII of this year.
